**Since my internet situation is a bit strange at the moment, using a friend’s computer to post this, I’ll be putting in the words as I go and adding in the pictures later.**
This morning:
I have officially arrived in Sydney, Australia! The flight was not as bad as expected, I slept for most of it, and now we are staying at the Sydney Harbor (sorry, that’s Harbour) YHA. It’s pretty nice, if a bit undecorated, and we have a great view of the opera house from our third floor patio! I’m already missing everyone, but the people I’ve met are all super great and I know this is going to be a fantastic adventure!
Tonight:
Today was fantastic! We spent something like 6 hours walking around Sydney, 3 on a walking tour, the rest getting lost with some friends. So far, I absolutely love it here! The history is way more interesting to learn when all of the stars are convicts sent to a prison colony where they continue to be fantastically lawless. The city reminds me of downtown with all of the glass, steel, and concrete, but it is so calm and relaxed it’s insane! Everything is super clean and I haven’t met an impolite person yet. I could get used to this. Tomorrow we are venturing out and going to the Blue Mountains. I have also been promised kangaroos and koalas for petting. I couldn’t be more excited! Bedtime for me, yay jetlag!
